Bertha L. McMorris Scholarship Fund

Bertha L. McMorris believes in the power of education and the need for children from the south side of Chicago to have an opportunity to attend college. The Bertha L. McMorris Scholarship Fund‘s board of directors will award annual scholarships to deserving students who fit the criteria.

The criteria includes

  • Residents of the City of Chicago

  • Students who attend a Chicago Public High School

  • Successful completion of our scholarship application and interview 

  • Residents of the Woodlawn community and the South Side of Chicago will receive priority consideration. 

  • Acceptance at a four-year college and/or university 

  • A GPA of 3.0 or better
